Ralawise Welcomes You To Hintze Hall

Stepping into Hintze Hall, you enter one of the most breathtaking spaces in the Natural History Museum.
This grand hall, with its magnificent Romanesque architecture, has welcomed millions of visitors since the museum opened in 1881.
Originally designed by architect Alfred Waterhouse, its vast ceilings, intricate stonework and sense of wonder make it an interesting setting for any event.

MEET HOPE – THE BLUE WHALE

Suspended from the ceiling is Hope, a majestic blue whale skeleton measuring 25.2 metres in length, consists of 221 bones and weighs 4.5 tonnes. Hope is not just an awe-inspiring sight; she is a powerful symbol of conservation and our responsibility to protect the natural world. Named to inspire future generations, Hope represents the resilience of nature and the success of conservation efforts.
